Content Management System

A content management system, simply put, is a tool that allows a website owner to manage the content of their website, without having to touch the code. Content management is as simple as logging into the content management system with your internet browser, finding the page you need to update, and then updating the content within that page. This is highly beneficial for website owners or managers that require updating the content of their website frequently. Content management makes the process of updating their site a cinch, without having to call upon a web designer for future content revisions.

A CMS Saves You Time & Money

It's a proven fact that integrating your website into a content management system saves you time and money. Let's reason together... let's say you want a website designed that has lots of pages, and you'd like to have the ability to edit the content of your site without affecting the design/layout and without paying your web designer their high hourly rate everytime you need to edit some content. The most cost-effective, time-saving solution is to have your site integrated into a content management system. It's really a “no-brainer.”

Integrating Your Site with Textpattern

Textpattern is a MySQL and PHP driven content management system that allows you to edit the content of your site from any browser. It is my favorite for its flexibility, and also how easy it is to edit your site. Before integrating your site with Textpattern, I first build and design your entire site outside of Textpattern, testing your site in all browsers to make sure that it is completely compatible. This ensures that all design changes are set in stone, and saves a load of time from having to go back and make changes to both the design and within Textpattern. I then transfer all of the files to Textpattern so that YOU can use it.

Other Content Management Systems

I also have experience integrating websites with the popular blogging engine/content management system called Wordpress. Wordpress is more often used as a blogging platform rather than a content management system.
